Summary
Company Mission
Problem
The web, as always, is rapidly changing and is at another inflection point. Video and personalized content is the most appealing and shared content on the web. We believe this is only the beginning, and video experiences will only grow and evolve. Video is eating the world. The web started with text-only content. Text was quickly replaced by images. And now, video has taken its place at the top. Take the following as an example of how marketplaces have rapidly evolved: We started with Craigslist (text) → then we got eBay (images) → and now we have Whatnot (Video-based commerce/marketplaces). This shift is happening fast, and it’s really exciting because our world is moving to a new format that is more interactive and malleable. Plus, the video-first generation is expecting video in every product they use.
Video should drive behaviors back to the product that generated the video or back to the consumer who generated the video. This can be as simple as throwing a watermark or logo onto videos generated for your consumers, or it can be a “swipe up” animation when shared externally via social media channels. Ideally, a video creates an intended loop that brings a customer back to make a purchase. Video can also be a tool to communicate a feature--all of which will remove friction and help drive a sale or the intended conversion goal. When your videos contain actionable loops, it amplifies your message and whatever value your products provide to your end-user. This is important because you can start to identify meaning or insights from the components of video. For example, extracting the audio from a video, and outputting this audio as text (think speech to text). We are early, but video is driving innovation and the development of new industries such as computer vision, content review, content moderation, media creation, localized and individualized communication, and so much more.

Questions to Resolve
1-Who have been the major players consulting you on the development of the business
Positioning with respect to artificial intelligence - for example ALGORITHM ADVANTAGE
Open Graph (OG) tags present a golden opportunity for content owners to catch the eye of a casual scroller. The preview images and headlines that people see while browsing social networks are often what determines whether something is liked and shared, or skipped over immediately.
2-What areas are you finding the most uphill battle?
3 -What is their website conversion rate?/ Cu
Strategy
Company Purpose, Personality and Position: How is this company changing the world for the better?
- Purpose: “For Global Geniuses, the world would be a better place if ___________”
- Personality: If you met your company at a party, how would you describe him? List as many adjectives as you can and then pick the top three.
- Position: What makes you unique and different? Define: For (target customer), who {statement of need), Global Geniuses is a platform that (key benefit) unlike (competing alternative) Global Geniuses (statement of primary differentiation)
👉 Possible Action Steps:
Finding Your Core Values:
Equity
Diversity
Collaboration
Marketplace Strategy: Verticalization through Aggregation ^[1]
The “customer” is the side that is most willing to pay (the demand side)(artists), so your product development is to do whatever it takes to attract the other side (art investors/buyers).
👉Possible Action Steps:
- Identify the trends and/or fastest growing user segments within your core market
- Can people come to Global Geniuses to hire the artists for specific projects? (A niche industry take on Fiverr)
[1] Aggregation is normally thought of as a demand-side effect. However, in B2B2C there are two sides of customers, and by aggregating the less elastic side you get a lever of control to sell to the other.
- Durable Value Creation
-Competitive Advantages
-Technology
The pitch doesn’t clearly articulate how Global Geniuses is delivering value on dimensions [a large population of target] customers care about. From the pitch, it wasn’t clear that ChainRaise has identified and refined the product to reflect demands from users.
👉Possible Action Steps:
- Identify the feedback loops between Global Geniuses and its key, target user base more clearly.
- Are there stories that customers want to hear that haven’t been told yet on your platform (for example, there are millions of units of content on Youtube and cable networks with relevant engagement metrics that contain celebrity/influencer recommendations and stories about places)
Brand Strategy
There are two key areas where asymmetry show up in the Global Geniuses presentation: growth strategy and visual identity. As Woody explained in his pitch, ChainRaise growth strategy is focused primarily in the enterprise space (e.g. auto and OTA partnerships), which establishes dependence on platforms (see SiriusXM as deploying similar strategy), but leaves a majority of B2C community driven, organic and sustainable growth opportunities on the table. For a product that sells directly to end users, the reason for this lack of symmetry in growth strategy is not yet clear. Additionally, the visual identity of ChainRaise renders a discernment problem. What is the brand’s personality? How does this reflect the mission of Global Geniuses? What about the visual identity makes Global Geniuses memorable?
👉Possible Action Steps:
- Incorporate a timeline into your pitch that provides investors with more clarity on how Global Geniuses is aligning its growth with the demands of its key subscriber base
